Aytül Serpel
After graduating from Adile Mermerci Anatolian High School, Aytül Aslı SERPEL continued her education in 2003 at Istanbul University Psychology Department. She comapleted her master's degree in Clinical Psychology at Okan University.
After completing her internships at Bakırköy Mental and Nervous Diseases Hospital, Serpel, between 2003 and 2006, went to New York, where she attended Positive Psychology-based Personal and Life Coaching training, as well as Mindfulness training at New York University (NYU). In 2006, she completed her training in Psychodrama at the Abdülkadir Özbek Institute and obtained the Psychodrama Assistantship Diploma.
Serpel, who worked for a period in the Women and Family Health Centers, a project of the Metropolitan Municipality's European Union Harmonization Project, has given many seminars on Safe Behavior Skills and organized individual and group therapies for children and adults. She actively participated as a volunteer therapist within the scope of projects conducted with children affected by the Güngören Explosion, F Type prisons, and the Van Earthquake under the Ministry of Health Public Health Institution (APHB), providing support for children to cope with trauma through EMDR and group therapies. She also took part in research on the treatment of PMS (Pre-Menstrual Syndrome) symptoms and menstrual pain with EMDR.
Serpel conducts individual and group work with children, adolescents, and adults in areas such as Loss and Grief, Trauma, Childhood and Adolescence Issues, Exam and Health Anxiety, Somatization Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Eating and Elimination Disorders in Children, Divorce, and Phobias. In her work, she predominantly uses Cognitive Therapy, EMDR, Short-Term Dynamic Approach, and Psychodrama techniques.
