Tuba Aydın

She completed her undergraduate studies in Psychological Counseling and Guidance at Istanbul University. From 2011 to 2017, she worked as a psychological counselor, providing services to children and their families from different age groups in various educational institutions.

 

She continued her education in the field of Clinical Psychology, specializing in Couple and Family Therapy, at Istanbul Bilgi University's master's program. She completed her specialization with her thesis titled "Differentiation, Triangulation, Intergenerational Transmission Process, and Extramarital Affairs: Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis."

 

Within the scope of couple and family therapy, she completed the basic and advanced levels of the 500-hour Family and Couple Therapy Training certified by the European Family Therapy Association (EFTA). During this process, she participated in the works of therapists such as Prof. Dr. Maurizio Andolfi, Howard A. Liddle, Dr. Kriyaki Polychroni, and Prof. Rodolfo De Bernart. Aydın completed the "Basic Addiction Certificate Program" coordinated by Prof. Dr. Kültegin Ögel and, following her interest in mindfulness, attended the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program (MBSR). She has completed accredited EMDR training and emphasizes its use in her work.

 

From 2016 to 2019, she conducted fieldwork focusing on couple relationships and taught courses within the master's program in Clinical Psychology at Istanbul Bilgi University.

 

She authored the chapter on "Loss and Grief" in the book "Couple and Family Therapy: Key Issues and Intervention Methods" published by Istanbul Bilgi University Publications.

 

In the context of the development and dissemination of therapy practices in Turkey, she served as a board member and chair of the Education Committee at ÇATED (Couple and Family Therapies Association).

 

She continues her psychotherapy work with adults, couples, and families at BATE Psychology, offering both face-to-face and online sessions. She also serves as a clinical supervisor in the master's program in Clinical Psychology at Bilgi University.

 

She practices psychodynamic and systemic approaches in dealing with topics such as loss and grief, individual and societal traumas, anxiety disorders, depression, relationship problems, divorce, and extramarital affairs. In her sessions, she incorporates experiential practices, mindfulness, EMDR, and body-oriented approaches, in addition to her knowledge of systemic and psychodynamic therapy.

 

Utilizing her knowledge of systemic therapy, she provides counseling services to groups and organizations.
